The way we live

Bloggers are now the most discussed figures in the fashion world because of their influence on people.

Well, now Internet, and so the blogosphere, is the best channel for the trasmission of ideas, infos and views, indeed in this century what matters is immediacy, and then images.  The point is that I don’t believe in fashion bloggers, like the ones that merely post their pictures around the world, and nothing else, and then they’ll be the most beautiful, intelligent and fashion people in the world.

I think that fashion is something else. First of all, it’s history, and then movement, design, architecture, it’s all the arts in one. Fashion is drawing, taking photos, writing, speaking. You can’t be powerful just wearing a dress, but without knowing its history, its past, or its future. Dresses are just the ultimate product of a intricate process.

I’m sorry, but fashion blogger must go down some stairs instead of taking all the credits for something they have chosen in a store or a boutique and that they call fashion. Fashion’s not Chanel or Louis Vuitton. Fashion is the way we live.

You can replicate!

Some history and fashion

Women did not have the right to own anything except their wardrobes, wich is the reason women became so interested in clothes.

This line is about the social (and fashion) situation of women in the late nineteenth century, when women had to submit and obey their husbands, who’s the dominant figure in the society. In one hundred years the world changed a lot, thanks to all the women that fought with their associations in the name of more rights and liberty, also if we’re not free at all. However, still now, fashion is maybe the only thing that belongs to us. are women that move and feed the fashion world, dealing with the family through shopping. and maybe that's why shopping is the only thing that belongs to us, it’s also what we do best, and despite this, we’re never bored. Indeed, shopping is one of the few things that can make us truly happy, that gives us that rush of adrenaline that we need in the darkest moments.

Thanks to all the women, thanks to those who have believed and believe in us, and thanks to fashion that makes us feel alive, living for ourselves, not to gratify men.

If you never try, then you’ll never know

Travelling by train this afternoon, I was thinking about fear. Fear is what makes us men and women, but sometimes fear is also what causes many off our choices, and sometimes prevents us from life. For example, I’m so sorry for all those people who are scared by airplanes, because I think that flying is the most adrenalin- filled experience that could exist. And many people studied and fighted to get to this point to pursue the areonautics technology, changing the world, but most of the people are scared by this thrilling thing. But everyone should try this fantastic experience that culminates in the moment when the plane leaves from ground and takes flight.

And your heart beats loud, but then you can’t go back, but your fear is gone, and you feel your power. Leaving from ground, you leave all other fears, concerns, thoughts. It’s only you, the sky and the clouds. Nothing else!

Well, my message is try, try and try. Because even from fear can come a wonderful experience. As Coldplay sing, If you never try, then you’ll never know!

Life as a market

026 buttons bought today

Friday morning. Weekly appointment with the city market.

It isn’t very big, neither with so that special things, but I love it, just because it’s MY city’s market! This morning, walking by the street with my friend, I was thinking about how special could be a market. It’ a puode pourri made of everything and everyone. Clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery added to flowers, fruits, vegetables, foods and cuisine’s stuff. You’re all in it, with the merchants that are there, awake from sunrise, and they’re there for you, selling their stuff, maybe to you. The grandmother, the mum, the girl coming back home from school, two friends. Everyone’s there for something, or nothings: maybe is there just to spend one hours,to find something that could makes you happy, to have a walk, to think, to meet people. Well, the point is that in the market there are many people with their own lives, their thinks and things, but all these things intersect, meet, overlap, and for those few moments you feel as if you were a friend of everyone, as if you lived in a happy world, made of shopping, but a world to share with everyone.

Well, my invite for today is to go to the market, trying this experience of simplicity. See, smell, touch, buy, give smiles. That’s the right place to do that!

xoxo,
